One of greyhound racing’s quiet achievers, Peter Brown, has passed away, age 65.
Brown, of Lara, and son Darren have formed a successful greyhound partnership for many years.
The pair has bred and trained many winners, often in partnership with Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association Director, Brian Parkinson.
The Browns have been regulars on the metropolitan circuit and on the group racing scene in recent years. The best greyhound they have been associated with was triple Group 1 finalist Cosmic Chief, who retired in 2011.
The family also experienced a huge thrill when winning the 2014 Warrnambool Classic with Magic Diva in May.
Peter Brown meets former AFL star Chris Tarrant on Warrnambool Cup night.
