Freelance journalist and greyhound racing enthusiast Nick Ansell previews Friday night’s racing at Geelong…

Greyhound racing enthusiasts and punters alike will be treated to excellence when the Jason Thompson trained Gracas King takes to the track at Geelong on Friday night.
Although lightly raced and still a young prospect, I can’t look past his blistering form – five wins from his past five starts is definitely something to be excited about. He cruised to a spectacular 21.87 triumph at Shepparton on Monday. WATCH
Moving through to race seven, the Wayne Vassallo prepared Late One Night is my pick to triumph in a tough field following his emphatic Best of Night win at Warragul last Sunday. WATCH
Dot Com Diesel and Sheoak Blue Boy will provide genuine competition, but Late One Night has shown his true dominance and consistency over the middle distance. There is a genuine case also for Got Held Up who could sneak into the placings with favours from the outside draw.
Usain I’m Nutty (pictured) does not need any introduction to punters (with close to $200,000 in prizemoney earnings, he’s more than proven himself as an elite greyhound) but I have to admire his absolutely blistering 29.21 victory at Sandown Park last month. WATCH
Placing second to the talented Dyna Double One last start after three consecutive victories, a drop in class will ensure he’s back on the road to victory. At $2.40, he’s too good to ignore.
With a super night of racing set to be on show, I’d encourage anybody to get down to Beckley Park this Friday. Semi-metropolitan greyhound racing at its best.
