COMMENCEMENT OF INSIDE TRACK CATCHING PEN TRIAL SESSIONS

As of Tuesday 2nd March – The GGRC will begin conducting Inside Track catching pen trial sessions at the conclusion of our race meet.
Please note that catching pen trials will ONLY be conducted after catching pen race meets.
Bookings for Tuesday trial sessions cannot be made online and must be made via calling our office on race days.

GGRC will not be trialling on the following dates, due to Public Holidays.

Saturday 26th December (post race meet)

Monday 28th December.

Geelong Trials week starting 14th December

Please Note: The outside track will undergo a deep harrow on Monday 14^th of December, therefore we will not be running trials on the outside track on Monday 14^th and Wednesday 16^th of December.

The inside track will not be affected and will still be operational for trials, with an increase in the number of trials available. However, heavy machinery will be in use on the outside track during the Monday trial session.

NEW CLUB QR SIGN IN PROCEDURE

**NEW CHECK IN PROCESS AT TRACKS**

As of Wednesday 25 November 2020, all persons attending the track will need to check in using a QR (quick response) code. This is a more streamlined process and should be quick and simple for people to use.

Each race track will have its own unique QR code, which will be prominently displayed at the entrance to the kennel block at each track, along with other locations including boxes for trial days. The GRIU COVID Compliance official at each race meeting will also have a copy of the QR code.

As participants arrive at the race meeting, using the camera on their mobile phone, point it at the QR code and click on the link. Complete their details requested and hit SUBMIT. The details required are as follows –

First name

Last Name

Mobile number, and

Participant number

Once these details are entered ONCE, they will self populate for all future scans, so you only need to hit SUBMIT, to record further attendances. If participants experience difficulties in using the QR code system, the GRIU COVID Compliance official will be on hand to assist.

The QR code process will allow GRV to maintain an accurate record of all persons in attendance at race meetings, should it be required for any future contact tracing purposes. The system is designed to enable GRV to respond quickly and efficiently to any government request for attendance data. It is about protecting the health and safety of all persons attend greyhound race meetings.

MONDAY TRIAL SESSION UPDATE:

Due to the scheduled weekend track maintenance being cancelled a trial session has been added on Monday 23/11/20 on the OUTSIDE TRACK ONLY.

Bookings open now as per normal procedure.

GEELONG TRIALS UPDATE:

17/11/2020

Due to track maintenance the Geelong Greyhound Racing Club will have altered trialling schedule for the week starting Monday 23^rd of November.

Monday 23^rd of November – NO TRIALS either track

Wednesday 25^th of November – Outside track only

Saturday 28^th November – No arm trials due to race meeting

Please Note: We have added following extra trial sessions:

Friday 20^th November – Inside track only (bookings open online today at 12 pm)

Friday 27^th November – Outside track only (bookings open online on 24/11 at 9 am)
