Local cancer centre receives donation

A FUN night out at the Geelong Greyhound Racing Club (GGRC) has raised more than $4000 for a well-deserving, local health centre.

The Barwon Health Andrew Love Cancer Centre was the beneficiary of $4300 from the GGRC following the clubs Girls Night Out event in August.

The centre also received $6000 from last year’s event, and Manger David Hoey was proud to present a similar cheque once again this year.

Mr Hoey handed the cheque to Dianne Schmidt, Marketing & Partnerships Manager at Barwon Health Foundation.

There was plenty of dancing and fun throughout the evening, while guests also enjoyed a pamper by the lovely ladies from Pure Chica and Jamberry consultants.

Plenty of laughter erupted from the photo booth and cheers from the women in the room who backed Wind Whistler at $24, making it two in a row for Angela Langton.

You can find the photos from the event at GGRC and Greyhound Racing Victoria Facebook pages.
